Chandrabhaga Valley

Shortly after the confluence of the rivers Chandra and Bhaga at Tandi, the narrow valley of the Chandrabhaga or Chenab widens and reveals amazing views on the villages of Triloknath, high above on a cliff, and Udaipur, situated in a flat, open space, through which the Chandrabhaga flows gently, before it reaches Jammu and Kashmir and finally units with the Indus in the plains of Pakistan.
The valley holds a special position in the historical and religious landscape of Himachal Pradesh because it is situated in a geographical corridor between Lahul and Chamba.
The religious predominance in this area has varied with political power over the centuries.
