4th storey: chapel 4W1

Chapel devoted to the masters of the Prajñāpāramitā, the first one in the W-projection of the fourth floor. E-wall: Statue of rGyal ba’i sras po Thogs med bzang po dpal, namely Bu ston´s disciple, rGyal sras Thogs med (1295-1369) (groundplan No. 1), flanked by Kun spangs Sems dpa’ chen po Chos kyi rin chen, possibly the same as Chos kyi rin chen, an abbot of the monastery of gNas rnying (right) (groundplan No. 1a); Gangs can mkhas pa’i dbang po Kun dga’ dpal, a mahāpaṇḍita, versed in the Prajñāpāramitā literature (left) (groundplan No. 1a’). N-wall: Painted portrait of Asaṅga, the founder of the Yogācāra school (groundplan No. 3); S-wall: a painted caption identifies the ācārya Haribhadra (slob dpon Seng ge bzang po), the author of the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikāprajñāpāramitā (groundplan No. 2).
