Chapel devoted to Bu ston, "the supreme knower"
The chapel is placed in the W-section of the S-projection and is devoted to the mkhyen rab, an epithet which seems to apply to Bu ston, together with his disciples. N-wall: image of Kun mkhyen Bu ston Rin chen grub (1290-1364) (groundplan No. 1), flanked by sGra tshad pa Rin chen rnam rgyal dpal bzang po (right) (groundplan No. 1a) and the sku zhang chos rje, possibly Nam mkha’ mchog sgrub dpal bzang po (left) (groundplan No. 1a’.
