2nd storey: vestibule 2V

Vestibule devoted to the bSrung ma lnga (Pañcarakṣā) in the south-eastern corner of the sKu ’bum with its entrance facing east, gives access to the third storey. No statues are presented. The main deities represented here in the paintings are the Pañcarakṣās (bCom ldan ’das ma bSrung ma lnga, in the inscription), the Five Protectress personifying the great dharaṇīs. N-wall (ground plan No. 1): So sor ’brangma (Mahāpratisarā); E-wall: sTong chen mo (Mahāsahasrapramardinī); S-wall: rMa bya chen mo (Mahāmāyūrī); W-wall: gSang sngags chen mo (Mahāmantrānusārinī) and bSil ba’i tshal chen mo (Mahāsītavatī).
