Vestibule devoted to the Krodhas of the ten directions, giving access to the bum pa on the fifth storey,
located in the S-W corner of the sKu ’bum. There are neither statues nor inscriptions, but the walls bear paintings of a good quality, devoted to the Krodhas of the ten directions (phyogs bcu). No. 5); W-wall: Padma mthar byed (Padmāntaka prot.of the W) (gr.pl.No. 6); rTa mchog (Paramāśva prot.of the NW) (gr.pl.No. 7); NW-wall: gNod mdzes rgyal po (Śumbharāja prot.of the nadir) (gr.pl.No. 8); N-wall: bGegs mthar byed (Vighnāntaka prot.of the N) (gr.pl.No. 9); Khams gsum rnam rgyal (Trailokyavijaya prot.of the NE) (gr.pl.No. 10) The ten Krodhas are assigned the role of protecting the heart of the stūpa and of removing the obstacles hindering from Enlightenment those who have access to it.
